Sheriff’s Office to collect unused meds at various locations

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY – The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office will be on hand at various locations this summer to collect unused and expired medications.

Residents are asked to bring unused or expired prescriptions and over-the-counter medication to one of the locations listed for proper disposal. The Sheriff’s Office recommends that any medications that residents still need be kept locked up and kept away from children and teens.

While the Sheriff’s Office will be collecting various types of medications, deputies will not be collecting needles or other “sharps.”
