William Arnold Morrison, 78, formerly of Vero Beach

William Arnold Morrison, 78, passed away on March 31.

He was born in Wrightsville, Ga., on Jan. 1, 1932 and is survived by his best friend and wife of almost 58 years, Patricia Hightower Morrison.

Arnold and Pat had four daughters, Rosemary Lynn Morrison (d. 1981), Pamela Ann Morrison of Hiawassee, Ga., Rachel Rene Morrison and Marlene Morrison Ferrara of Vero Beach.

He is also survived by his grandson, Matthew Ryan Ferrara of Vero Beach, brothers Larry Morrison (Shelba Jean) of Monticello, Ga., and Merrill Morrison (Linda) of Hayesville, N.C.

Arnold and Pat were self-employed for more than 40 years in their dry cleaning establishments in Atlanta, Plantation, Vero Beach and Sebastian.

He was an avid golfer for many years and loved collecting Roseville pottery. Arnold was a dedicated caretaker of many elder family members and loved nothing more than his family.

He and Pat spent the last several years living in and rediscovering his home state of Georgia.

A memorial service will be held later in Vero Beach.
