Hibiscus Festival received City Council Proclamation

VERO BEACH — A small group of the volunteers who organize and run the Hibiscus Festival attended the April 6 meeting of the Vero Beach City Council and received a proclamation for the upcoming April 16 and April 17 event.

The Hibiscus Festival weekend begins with the Miss Hibiscus Pageant on Friday, April 16 at 7 p.m. at the Heritage Center.

On Saturday, April 17, the Festival starts off with a 5K Run at 7 a.m. from the Vero Beach Municipal Airport.  The Festival continues from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. along 14th Avenue in historic downtown Vero Beach and includes displays, children’s activities, live entertainment, and many special activities for the entire family.

The Festival ends with a street party from 5:30-8:30 p.m., also on 14th Avenue, featuring a Beatles tribute band.
