Francis M. ‘Frank’ Holliday, 89, Vero Beach

Francis M. “Frank” Holliday, 89, died on March 17, 2010, at Indian River Medical Center. He was born in Pittsburgh, lived in Vero Beach and was formerly of Barefoot Bay and Philadelphia. He worked in the Yellow Pages business for R.H. Donnelly Corp. for 35 years. In the suburbs of Pittsburgh, he was active in the Upper St. Clair Athletic Association, where he organized and operated an athletic program, primarily baseball for youth of the area. He was a member of Barefoot Bay Golf Club. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II. Survivors include his sons, Bruce, Richard and Steve Holliday; daughter, Sandra Reiff; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mary Lou; and son, Geoffrey. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. April 1 at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach.
