Children’s Theatre Sets Auditions for Summer Shows

VERO BEACH — Riverside Children’s Theatre announces auditions for two of its upcoming summer shows.

The Next Stage program will audition for its production of “Into the Woods, Jr.” on Saturday, April 24 at 10 a.m.  Suggested ages for participation are ages 8 and up.  Those auditioning should be prepared to sing 16 measures of a song and be ready to do cold readings from the script.  The Next Stage program will meet as a full day workshop from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. beginning June 14 through 25 with performances June 25 to July 3.  Fee for the two week session is $360.  This show will be directed by Kevin Quillinan with music direction by Deborah Quillinan.

Summer Stage 2010 will present the rock musical “Jesus Christ Superstar” July 23 to 31.  Auditions are open to ages 10 and up and will be held Saturday, June 5 at 2 p.m.  Those auditioning should be prepared to sing 16 measures of a song, preferably in the style of rock and roll, and dress comfortably to dance.  There is no participation fee for this program.  Summer Stage 2010 will be directed by Kevin Quillinan with music direction by Karen Wiggins and choreography by Adam Schnell.
