April Actor Master Class announced

VERO BEACH — The April Riverside Theatre Actor Master Class will take place April 6 from 6 to 8 p.m.  Featured will be Jason Dula, currently starring in Riverside’s “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change.”  Workshops are offered at Riverside Children’s Theatre, the educational arm of Riverside Theatre and are open to teens and adults.  Tuition fee is $20.

Dula will give tips on vocal technique as well as answer questions on audition tips, how the business works and auditioning for colleges.  Participants are asked to bring 16 bars or an entire song to sing and get feedback.  Please bring sheet music for the accompanist.

Bars, movie theatres to open at 50% capacity Friday

Bars and movie theatres will reopen at 50 percent inside capacity as most of Florida will shift into phase 2 of reopening on Friday, Gov. Ron DeSantis said. DeSantis made the announcement Wednesday. All counties, except Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach, will enter phase 2 Friday. All bars and pubs will also be allowed to operate at full capacity outside with appropriate social distancing, DeSantis said. Patrons will only get served if they are seated. Fertilizer restrictions to go into effect next month

A reminder from the Indian River Neighborhood Association to residents of Indian River County, City of Vero Beach, Sebastian and Orchid. We are coming into our rainy season when more nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorous are likely to be washed from our lawns, driveways and roads into the storm water system and, ultimately, into our local waterways such as the Indian River Lagoon. The fertilizer ordinances passed by our communities goes into effect June 1st. It prohibits the use of lawn fertilizer between June 1st and September 30th.
