Small dog rescued from house fire on 30th Ave., Vero Beach

VERO BEACH — A small dog was pulled from a house fire on the 1600 block of 30th Avenue in Vero Beach and given oxygen. The dog appears to be otherwise unharmed.

The fire appears to have been extinguished, according to an eyewitness.  

No people were in the house at the time emergency crews arrived on the scene and no injuries have been reported.

The American Red Cross responded to the home.

According to emergency dispatchers, the fire had been “rolling off the roof.”

The fire was reported shortly after 2 p.m.
