Howard Herbert Milliken, 97, died Feb. 27, 2010, in Scarborough, Maine. He was born in Hallowell, Maine, and was a winter resident of Vero Beach.
He was a physician and consultant and participated in community groups.
Survivors include his son, Thomas H. Milliken; daughter, Jean M. Griffis; stepdaughter, Patricia Perkins; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Hogan; second wife, Madelyn Perkins; brothers, Phillip and Kenneth; and sister, Catherine Will Clancy.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. March 13 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallowell. A memorial service and burial will at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta at a later date.
