National Exchange Club honors Jenny Frederick and Tia Beinhower

VERO BEACH — Exchange Club of Indian River announces that Jenny Frederick was named Distinguished Club Secretary and Tia Beinhower the Distinguished Club Treasurer of the 2008-2009 year by National Exchange Club. Scott Wallace, 2008-2009 president of the local chapter of America’s Service Club, presented the awards at the club’s March 3 luncheon meeting at Culinary Capers, Vero Beach. Frederick is one of 33 Exchange Club secretaries and Beinhower is one of 22 club treasurers in the country to earn this honor. All three continue to serve as Directors on the club’s Board of Directors.

Exchange Club of Indian River provides the community with programs in youth activities, service, and Americanism. Through participation in its national project, the Prevention of Child Abuse, the Exchange Club of Indian River’s Foundation supports a number of local youth-related charities.

The Club meets for lunch at Culinary Capers each Wednesday at noon. Meetings feature programs on a wide range of business, government and civic, charity, personal, and professional topics.

Exchange Club of Indian River Foundation’s fundraisers, including the 34th Annual Exchange Club Blue Water Open “Dolphin Mania” Charity Fishing Tournament to be held May 22, support club projects.
