George J. Racicot, 90, Vero Beach

George J. Racicot, 90, died Feb. 23, 2010, at Indian River Medical Center.

He was born in Pittsfield, Mass., and lived in Vero Beach for 32 years, coming from Springfield, Mass.

Before retirement, he was a master sergeant in the Army, serving in World War II and Vietnam War.

He attended St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach.

Survivors include his daughter, Annette M. Gaudino of Vero Beach; sons, George J. Racicot Jr. of West Springfield, Mass., and Paul J. Racicot of Baltimore; brother, Joseph Racicot of Tolland, Conn.; sisters, Margaret Copson of Longmeadow, Mass., and Theresa Oliver of Agawam, Mass.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Racicot; sister, Viola L. D’Amato; and a grandchild.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. March 6 at St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
