Bradley Raymond Stahl, 48, Vero Beach

Bradley Raymond Stahl, 48, died Feb. 24, 2010, at VNA Hospice House.

He was born in Fostoria, Ohio, and lived in Vero Beach since 2000, coming from San Diego. He was a plumber/tradesman.

He was a veteran of the Navy, serving in the Persian Gulf.

He received an associate’s degree from Indian River State College in computer-assisted design and drafting.

Survivors include his mother, Shirley Long of Vero Beach; sisters, Candy Wingert of Fostoria, Ohio, and Cindy Townsend of Clearwater; brother, Michael Stahl of Fostoria; and stepbrother, James Long of Vancouver, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his father, J.R. Stahl and stepfather, George Long.

Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice House, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

A memorial service will be at a later date.

‘Tragic, sudden loss,’ – Memorials emerge for teen killed in ATV crash

With the sudden death of Sebastian River High School student Jake Beecher still fresh, family, friends, teammates and coaches continue to come to terms with the tragic crash that took his life. ‘No swimming’ advisory lifted for beaches, officials say

VERO BEACH — Authorities lifted a 'no swimming' advisory for three local beaches Tuesday after test samples showed that bacteria returned to normal levels, health department and city officials said. The result means it was safe to return to the water Tuesday, Vero Beach city officials said. The advisory - which was in place for nearly a week - was issued Jan. 31 for South Beach, Humiston Beach and Sexton Plaza Beach after high levels of fecal-related bacteria were reported at the locations.
