VERO BEACH — RBC Bank’s Relay for Life Team will present its second annual “Taste of Italia” wine and food pairing fundraiser to benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of the Beaches on Tuesday, March 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the RBC Bank Downtown Vero located at 10th Avenue and U.S. Highway 1.
Carrabba’s Italian Grill of Vero Beach is providing the food and wine pairing for the evening assisted by The Rotary Club of Vero Beach Oceanside. Entertainment will include raffles, a silent auction, plus the Vero Beach Opera will be performing along with a classical guitarist.
Shawn Marchetti, RBC Bank’s Regional Support Specialist and spokesperson for the event, suggested you act quickly as tickets are limited. “I’m so excited about this tasty event that serves two purposes…raising funds for the ACS and celebrating life or as they say in Italy “celebrare la vita.” Over 100 people were in attendance at last year’s event and nearly $3,000 was raised”, proclaimed Ms. Marchetti.
Tickets are $40 per person.
The actual overnight Relay for Life of the Beaches event, which is open to the public, is scheduled for April 9 and 10 at Riverside Park in Vero Beach. Opening Ceremonies will begin at 6:00 p.m. and there will be entertainment and food for all ages.
“Our local Beaches Relay is going on its fifth year and has been very successful in involving the entire community and exceeding our goals every year”, Ms. Marchetti proudly stated.
