Traffic detail yields 7 arrests, 59 warnings in 10 hours

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — For 10 hours, 20 Indian River County Sheriff deputies patrolled Interstate 95 and State Road 60 Saturday, arresting seven people on multiple charges, writing nearly 60 warnings and issuing 20 citations.

From 4 p.m. Saturday to 2 a.m. Sunday, members of the Sheriff’s Office Multi-Agency Criminal Enforcement Unity, the K-9 Unit and deputies drove along I-95 between the Brevard and St. Lucie counties and SR 60 from County Road 512 to the highway. One vehicle and $974 in cash were seized during the operation, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The traffic detail netted:

59 – Written Warnings

20 – Citations

7 – Arrests – multiple charges per arrest

Arrest charges included:

4 – Drug Paraphernalia

3 – Drug Possession under 20 grams

3 – Driving while License Suspended

1 – No Driver’s License

1 – Possession of Controlled Substance
