Lacrosse event this weekend at Dodgertown

VERO BEACH — The Florida Lacrosse League will take over the baseball fields at Dodgertown this weekend for a 12-team tournament. In all teams from Tallahassee, Tampa, Orlando, Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Miami will participate in the event.

Stickhead Lacrosse, a local store in Vero Beach, is serving as host for the event. “We don’t have a team in the tournament,” said Liz Bahl of Stickhead Lacrosse. “But we got involved to showcase Dodgertown to the lacrosse community.”

 

The Florida Lacrosse League is a satewide men’s lacrosse league made up of mostly past college players.

Matches will begin at noon on Saturday with games also scheduled for 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. The Sunday schedule begins at 9 a.m. All matches are free.
