Andrew Johnson, 85, died Jan. 16, 2010, at the Indian River Medical Center.
He was born in Dedham, Mass., and moved to Vero Beach in 1996 from his birthplace. He attended Williams College and the University of Georgia.
He retired from Stone & Webster Corp. in 1980 after a career as a nuclear power plant engineer. He served in the Navy as an aircraft commander and was a Naval Reserves pilot for 25 years.
He was a member of the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Fort Pierce.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sophia Johnson of Vero Beach; daughters, Jennifer Constantin of Scarsdale, N.Y., and Andrea Bernard of Vero Beach; and four grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Panagia Vlahernon Greek Orthodox Monastery, 12600 W. Highway 318, Williston, FL 32696.
Interment will be Jan. 20 at Panagia Vlahernon Greek Orthodox Monastery in Williston. Arrangements are by Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
