Frank A. Scheid, 86, died Dec. 12, 2009, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach for 22 years, coming from Long Island, N.Y. He was a veteran of the Army Air Forces, serving during World War II. He was a member of Church of God, Vero Beach. Survivors include his daughter, Diane Nagel of Vero Beach; sons, Terry Scheid of Great River, N.Y. and Thomas Scheid of San Jose, Calif.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy in 2001; and son Glenn Sched in 2002. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association Florida Affiliate, 9900 Ninth Street N., St. Petersburg, FL 33716. A memorial service will be at a later date.
