Vero’s Top Chef Challenge qualifying event set for Jan. 25

VERO BEACH — The Homeless Family Center is proud to announce the second annual Vero’s Top Chef Challenge… slice, dice & spice competition and fundraising event to benefit homeless families on the Treasure Coast.  This year’s fundraiser will be a two-day event including the Qualifying Event on Monday, Jan. 25 at Pointe West (venue sponsor) and the Top Chef Challenge Monday, Feb. 22 at Quail Valley River Club. Twelve chefs will compete to be Vero’s Top Chef 2010 under the direction of Chef Joe Faria, Executive Chef of the Quail Valley River Club and the chef coordinator for this event.  Competing chefs include:  Nick Bradbury, Quail Valley River Club; Gregg DeAquair, Dockside Grille; Mitch Dembrowski, Regency Park; Michele Hennessey, River Grille; Andrew Keller,  The Club at Pointe West; Brian Lavergne, Disney’s Vero Beach Resort; Steve Long, Sea Oaks; Tom Lund, Ti Amo Sempre; Raymond Mumford, Costa d’Este; Kitty Wagner, Undertow Restaurant; Neil Williams, Lakes at Pointe West; and Bradley Willits, Cobalt.

Qualifying Event tickets are $30 per person and Vero’s Top Chef Challenge tickets are $175 per person; tickets for both events combined are $195 per person. All proceeds benefit the Homeless Family Center.
