VERO BEACH — The Artists Guild Gallery proudly presents Color-rich Impressions of Nature, works in oil by prominent Vero Beach dentist, Dr. Johnson Hagood. The show will feature over a dozen of his works, and will be on display from December 1 through December 30. An Opening Reception will be held Friday, Dec. 4 from 5 to 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
Painting in his distinctive impressionistic style, Hagood uses a palette of vivid color to create works rife with movement and light. His bold and deliberate brushstrokes evoke a sense of energy, with occasional soft edges to present a resting place for the eyes.
Hagood’s sharp eye for beauty, combined with his artistic talent and rock-steady hand, has proved an ideal cross-over to his cosmetic dentistry. He has the distinction of being one of less than 300 dentists in the world accredited with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
The Artists Guild Gallery will also feature new works by Artist Members at their new location, 1974 14th Avenue, in the heart of the new Arts District.
Classes in several mediums are being formulated; call for class list. Hours are Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
