Tons of fun at WinterFest Dec. 19

VERO BEACH — Don’t miss a minute of this year’s 6th Annual WinterFest at Pointe West event, 2 to 6 p.m.  Saturday, Dec.19.  Heritage Park will be transformed into a winter wonderland complete with 25 tons of snow for kids to enjoy a giant Snow Slide and Bunny Slope.  The Penguin Pond ice skating rink is open to all ages and comes complete with ice skates. Direct from the North Pole Santa Claus will be making an appearance and he’ll be bringing some special guests with him.

In addition to all the winter activities, this year’s Fire & Ice celebration will once again feature a spectacular grand finale fireworks display beginning at 6 p.m.

Co-hosted by Pointe West and the Indian River County Recreation Department, WinterFest also features a Santa’s Fun Zone, full of inflatable fun, face painting, sand art, a petting zoo and pony rides.  The Charter High School Jazz Band highlights the entertainment lineup scheduled to perform under the grand entertainment pavilion.

The Exchange Club of Indian River Foundation will hold their Merry Christmas Winner-Fest Raffle, with proceeds to benefit local charities for the prevention of child abuse.
