INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Three men accused of trying to steal an air conditioner apparently didn’t see the 12 posted “No Trespassing” signs on the property they were on, according to authorities.

The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office arrested the men Monday afternoon after a deputy saw them on the private property.

According to the three arrest reports, the deputy responded to the property, located at 8245 20th St., Vero Beach. The deputy noted in the report that he saw the men “attempting to remove an air conditioner” and that “the property has 12 clearly and visibly posted ‘No Trespass’ signs.”

One such sign, according to the deputy, was located directly above where the A/C unit was located.

Those arrested include Thomas McKeon, 51, of Stuart; Benjamin Daum, 25, of 75th Drive, Vero Beach; and Albert Keith Thomas, 51, of 24th Street, Vero Beach.

All three have already been sentenced to serve 20 days in the county jail and are currently serving their sentence, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
