Sebastian police host health, safety fair with bike rodeo Saturday

SEBASTIAN — The Sebastian Police Department will be hosting a Health and Safety Fair and Children’s Bike Rodeo with the Sebastian Elk’s Lodge Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.

The event will be held at the Elk’s Lodge, 731 Fleming St., beginning with the bike rodeo followed by a police K-9 demonstration with events continuing through noon.

The fair is open to all members and ages of the community and resource stations will be set up inside the Elk’s Lodge providing a wide variety of information from mental to physical health.

The VNA will have seasonal Flu Vaccinations for $19 and Pneumonia Vaccinations for $45.

A prescription drug abuse discussion will be presented inside followed with a presentation of Michael’s Message, a tale of a parent’s experience with the loss of their child to drugs. A child car seat inspection station will be available during the entire event.
