Charitable organizations treated to A Night of Giving Back

VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach Elks Lodge hosted A Night of Giving Back on Tuesday, September 22 to thank the numerous charitable organizations who assist others in our community.  The driving force behind the event was Lynn Hall, of Northwestern Mutual, who enlisted the support of his fellow Elks along with a number of local vendors and sponsors for an evening of great food and camaraderie.

The Elks Lodge Crystal Banquet room provided the perfect setting and everything from the decorations and entertainment to the food and wine was donated.  Representatives of the non-profit organizations were treated to it all and could just kick back, relax and enjoy one another’s company.  The evening also offered a great opportunity for the Elks Lodge and area merchants to demonstrate how they can assist charitable organizations with their fundraising events.

Premier Party Rentals, Always in Bloom, Johnson’s Flower World, Everything Outdoors and Balloons and More adorned the room with a festive look and the Old Barber Bridge Band entertained with a delightful mix of folk, rock and bluegrass music.  Bono’s Catering, Culinary Capers, P.E.A.R.L. Restaurant and Catering by Adrienne Drew donated the delicious food and Southern Eagle Distributing provided the libations.

June Maher, the Elks Exalted Ruler, and Lynn Hall briefly addressed the crowd noting that the Elks, as an active charitable organization themselves, were especially pleased to be able to give back to those who make Indian River County such a wonderful place to live.
