EVENT: Movies at the Museum

VERO BEACH — Register Now for Movies at the Vero Beach Museum of Art.  The World of Peter Lorre Film Studies Course begins Tuesday, Oct. 6 and ends Tuesday, Nov. 3.   Sessions meet each Tuesday at 1:30 and 7 p.m.  One of Europe’s, then one of America’s greatest character actors of the 1930s and ’40s, Peter Lorre was a major figure in Berlin’s incandescently creative theater scene between the First and Second World Wars.  He starred regularly in the plays of Berthold Brecht opposite the legendary Lotte Lenya.  He went on to become a key figure in a number of memorable Hollywood comedies, thrillers and dramas.  Watch him develop some of his most enduring characters and learn about his tragic life in this five-week course. Classes will be held in the Leonhardt Auditorium. Tuition is $55 per person ($45 for Museum members).
