EVENT: Inaugural Oktoberfest presented by the Junior League of Indian River

VERO BEACH — No need to travel to Munich, to enjoy the famous Fall festival known as “Oktoberfest” thanks to the women of the Junior League of Indian River and presenting sponsor George E. Warren Corporation.  The inaugural kick-off will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Historic Dodgertown MiLB Vero Beach facility.

You don’t need a dirndl skirts or lederhosen, to enjoy:

A Bier Garden for adults with more than 50 international/artisan beers to taste, sponsored by Kia of Vero Beach;A Kinder Garden with bounce houses, crafts and critters from Busch Wildlife, sponsored by Grall, Glenn & Grall – Attorneys at Law;Live entertainment featuring a rockin’ band, 99.7 JACK FM, German costumed dancers and games;

Delicious food offerings including authentic brats, pretzels & potato pancakes;

A designated driving offering providing complimentary rides home to attendees via cab in the county if needed, sponsored by Attorney Bobby Guttridge and Attorney Chuck Sullivan.

General admission tickets are $5, and tickets to enjoy unlimited samples of beer in the Bier Garden are $25 in advance. It’s “Feiern” (party, celebration) time thanks to overwhelming community support and the active Junior League of Indian River.

The Junior League of Indian River is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action of trained volunteers.
