Hugh David Saxe, 72, died Aug. 18, 2009, at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach. He was born in Paterson, N.J., and lived in Vero Beach for nine years, coming from Kissimmee.
He was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church in Vero Beach and Trinity Lutheran Church of Kissimmee. He was a chaplain for the Elks Lodge and a member of the Moose Lodge and the Eagles Club. Survivors include his daughters, Dawn Saxe, of Intercession City, Sally Shipp Saxe, of Kissimmee, and Christine Howell, of Vero Beach; son, David Saxe, of Acworth, Ga.; sister, Patricia Gil, of Arizona; brothers, Gary Saxe, of Pennsylvania, and Bobby Saxe, of New Jersey; fiancée, Marilyn Meininger, of Vero Beach; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at noon Sept. 5 at St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church in Vero Beach.
Arrangements are by All County Funeral Home and Crematory Treasure Coast Chapel.
