Rae D. Lindsey, 86, died Aug. 14, 2009. Mrs. Lindsey was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and lived most of her life in south Florida. She has lived in Greenville, N.C. for the last four years with her daughter, Karen Palmer.
Mrs. Lindsey was a homemaker who also sold Mary Kay Cosmetics. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Aris C. Lindsey; daughters, Karen Palmer and Susan Beuttell; a sister, Joan Aikens; four grandchildren; and four great-grandsons.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lindsey was preceded in death by her son, Robert Wallace Lindsey.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina, 3520 Tupper Drive, Greenville, NC 27834 or a charity of your choice.
A memorial service will be conducted Thursday, Aug. 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach.
