Vero Beach Museum of Art International Lecture Series set for 2010 season

VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach Museum of Art will feature four acclaimed speakers in its International Lecture Series.  Lectures are held Monday afternoons at 4:30 p.m. and are followed by a wine reception, book signing and a chance to meet the speaker.

From July 15 through September 4, 2009, Vero Beach Museum of Art members receive a 10% discount when they purchase the four-lecture series; member rate through September 4 is $180. Registration for the general public begins September 7 at a cost of $240 for the series. Feb. 15 –  Why The Arts Matter, presented by Dana Gioia, internationally acclaimed poet and former Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts.

March 1 –  Seven Days in the Art World…and Counting, presented by Sarah Thornton, author of Seven Days in the Art World.

March 15 – Secrets of the Gardner Heist presented by investigative reporter Ulrich Boser, author of The Gardner Heist: The True Story of the World’s Largest Unsolved Art Theft.

March 22 – My Mother, My Father & Me: A Life of Humor, Curiosity, and Adventure, presented by Isabella Rossellini, internationally renowned actress, author and film maker, and daughter of Ingrid Bergman and Roberto Rossellini.
