Prepare for closed offices, no services July 4 weekend

 COUNTY — Residents waiting until Saturday to put bills in the mail or to take out the trash will have to wait until after the holiday. Students and government officials will also get an extra day off in recognition of the Fourth of July holiday.The following is a rundown of closures for Indian River County: All government, law enforcement and court offices closed Friday and will reopen as normal Monday.Florida Atlantic University and Indian River State College students will not have classes on Friday. IRSC also has Monday off.Indian River County’s landfill will be open Friday, but not Saturday. Treasure Coast Refuse will have regular pickup July 3, but will not pick up trash and recyclables on Saturday.Mail will be picked up as usual Friday, though the Post Office will be closed on Saturday.Go Line IRT Public Transportation will run truncated routes on July 3 and its full routes Saturday. Community Coach will not operate July 3 and 4.Banks: Check your local branch for holiday hours.All libraries will be closed July 4, including the Indian River County Main Library, North County Library, and the Gifford Library.
