Nash N. Cronin Jr., Sebastian; Navy veteran, owner Scorpios Beauty Salon

Nash N. Cronin Jr., of Sebastian, died peacefully on Monday June 22, 2009. Nash was born in Tennessee, and raised in Atlanta, Ga.

Many will remember Nash as owner and operator of Scorpios Beauty Salon. Prior to that, he served honorably on in the Navy as a electronics engineer on The USS Enterprise. He was the only child born to the late Nash and Hazel Cronin and was the beloved husband of Deborah Cronin for over 24 years.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Deborah; daughters, Melanie Kelly, Scarlett Wooldridge and Tara Werho; sons, Stephen and Marcus Combs; and 10 grandchildren.

Nash loved fishing, fast cars, and his famous pet turtle, Hank. More than any of this, he loved his wife deeply in a way that should inspire us all. Even as his health declined and was forced to walk with a cane he never failed to stop opening the door for his bride, Deborah.

Nash touched the lives of many people with his smile and great character. He had one living request prior to his going to be with the Lord; he would say, “Just tell everyone I’ve gone home!” We praise God that today Nash has his new body!

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, July 11, 2009, at 11 a.m. at 1405 Indian River Drive, Sebastian, overlooking the Intercoastal Waterway across from Earl’s Hideaway.
