PROJECT: State Road 60 between 66th to 82nd avenues in Vero BeachDESCRIPTION: SR 60 will be widened from four lanes to a six-lane divided highway. Other improvements in this two-mile-long construction zone will include adding bike lanes and sidewalks on both sides of the road, new street lights, and new traffic signals at three signalized intersections, landscaping and replacing most of the R-3 Canal with an underground pipe.CLOSURES: S.R. 60 will have a lane closed in each direction periodically as needed between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays.START DATE: Jan. 19, 2009ESTIMATED COMPLETION: Summer 2011
