Carl F. McMillan, 72, Vero Beach; golf pro at Safari/Dodger Pines

Carl F. McMillan, 72, of Vero Beach, died June 25, 2009, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach. He was born in Brampton, Ontario, and lived in Vero Beach for 41 years, coming from Kemptville, Ontario. 

 

He was the head golf professional at Safari Pines, which later became Dodger Pines. He later started his own company specializing in golf sales. He was a member of the United Church of Canada and a member of Vero Beach Country Club.

 

 

 Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Patricia; son, Kim Carl McMillan, of Tampa; brother, Roy McMillan; and sisters, Anne O’Brecht and Jean Tattersol, all of Ontario.

 

 He was preceded in death by a son, Peter Franklin McMillian.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 28 at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach. A memorial will begin at 1 p.m. June 28 at the funeral home chapel.
